A girl's guide to selling homes in the Southern California desert: a love story.

A girl's guide to selling homes in the Southern California desert: a love story. Growing up in a small town nestled in the heart of the Southern California desert, I always loved real estate and helping people find their dream properties. Selling homes is my passion, and I am so excited to help you find your perfect property in this beautiful corner of the world. Whether you are looking for a vacation getaway or a permanent residence, I can help you find the right home and finance it in this amazing part of the country! I remember being a tiny person on a job site with a 2x4 cutoff and a grease pen in hand checking my parents' employees' work. I'd walk around inspecting the various nails, staples, cuts of paper and wire, and if they were properly overlapping. Occasionally, I'd find myself calling out a letter grade for their work performance. I spent so many hours watching my parents work, I know what looked right and what appeared totally wrong. I'd snarki...

Nonsensical Heavy Lifting

I have that Ridin' song stuck in my head, "They see me rollin' They Hatin' Patrollin' and tryna catch me ridin' dirty....." I regress; I thought about a recent client experience with a moving company. I loosely call them a moving company because they are more like a wrecking company. I can't believe how intolerable they made the whole experience from beginning to end; it was a total nightmare. One should have known by the social media post they were just a bunch of degenerate boys trying to do the work of a professional man. Still, a shot in the dark was embarked upon. Trouble ensued, beginning with a hole in the piano lid, a dropped white couch, busted legs on furniture, and holes in mattress pad covers. At the night's end, the movers had to audacity to ask for payment. They called the Sheriff's department to solve their civil action problem. It turns out that the company wasn't insured for any of the damages they caused. Don't make t...

It's about time

I wake up and look in the mirror and don't recognize myself. If I squint and let's be honest, when I'm not wearing my glasses, I'm likely squinting - making those extra love lines in my face. I reach for my glasses and let out a sigh. Ah, there I am, an aging masterpiece, not like fine wine or aged cheese but of a thick chunk of mortadella, tiny fat deposits around my sweet and nutty bits. I brush my hair and begin my day. I like a slow start with a glass of water. Hence, my skin stays hydrated enough I can continue to call them love lines. I stay healthy by taking my daily herbs, and pre/probiotics, eating some sheep yogurt to satisfy my belly guggles, nibbling on a good size chunck of 90% dark chocolate and swallowing some Crazy Goat blend of Klatch coffee. It's time for a good stare out my front window overlooking the valley before I get serious about my day. Recently, our new fur baby has interrupted my daily reading and study. He is an adorable train wreck to ...

Just the Beginning

The philosopher Descartes made his famous statement "I think, therefore I am. " While I live by this mantra I believe it would be amazing to have incredible liberation beyond the dreadful enslavement to incessant thinking. One day I will be completely in the moment of the now and stop talking about the future that I really know nothing about yet. Please read-------The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. Even the first 20 Pages are life altering. I know that I am able to turn off my mind whenever I want to. It is an amazing talent. My mind doesn't use me unless I let it. I watch and listen to myself think and then make a choice for myself. The only things that truly matter to me are inner peace and if my children and I have it. I hope that via channeling love and kindness upon others that they will strive for inner peace for themselves too. The best thing that I have done for my children recently is opening their minds to the power of meditation and building their own ...

What Problems? I don't have any problems!

All problems are illusions of the mind. If you found yourself in paradise, it wouldn’t be long before your mind would say “yes, but…” Ultimately, this is not about solving your problems. It’s about realizing that there are no problems. There are only situations to be dealt with now or to be left alone and accepted as part of the present moment until they change or can be changed.
I Introduction: Why is it important for health and wellness professionals to develop psychologically, spiritually and physically? What areas do you need to develop to achieve the goals you have for yourself? As you understand what 'wellness' means, you will begin to realize that for society it is better to contribute to the common welfare of our community than to think only of ourselves. It's better to live in harmony with others and our environment than to live in conflict with them. If one has chosen to live in harmony with others and nature; then they shall pave the way for others to do the same. Essentially, one is leading by example. I believe that I live my life to the best that I can everyday and that I encourage the same of others. My goal is to always remember that we can always do something better; better for ourselves, better for humanity, and better for our planet. II Assessment: How have you assessed your health in each domain? How do you score your...
Guided meditations are an excellent way to bring balance to the mind and the body. Playing soft music or burning essential oils in the meditation area are great enhancements to the meditation itself. A successful guided meditation will clear the mind of outside influence and focus on the imagery provided. Positive affirmations may also be incorporated with guided meditations. The positive affirmation that I choose today and posted on my Facebook Wall was "I know that help is available for me to complete my dreams!" The Love and Kindness exercise is one of my personal favorites. I have practiced this one for quite awhile. I know that others know that I must participate in something like this because I am frequently asked how I can remain so calm, collected, and patient with others when I have this many children (I have four). I share with them, if they choose to have the time what it is that allows me this ability to ride the waves so smoothly.
