I Introduction:

Why is it important for health and wellness professionals to develop psychologically, spiritually and physically? What areas do you need to develop to achieve the goals you have for yourself?

As you understand what 'wellness' means, you will begin to realize that for
society it is better to contribute to the common welfare of our community
than to think only of ourselves. It's better to live in harmony with others and our environment than to live in conflict with them. If one has chosen to live in harmony with others and nature; then they shall pave the way for others to do the same. Essentially, one is leading by example.
I believe that I live my life to the best that I can everyday and that I encourage the same of others. My goal is to always remember that we can always do something better; better for ourselves, better for humanity, and better for our planet.


II Assessment:

How have you assessed your health in each domain? How do you score your wellness spiritually, physically, and psychologically?

I am a 10 in every category, everyday. When I wake in the morning before the sun is up and I pick up my babies, I think to myself what a wonderful day it is! Notice I didn’t say what a wonderful day it is going to be, I said it in the present tense. Living in the present moment is the best way to live happily. When I am mentally prepared for the day, I am better prepared to tackle what I physically have to do. I don’t belong to any organized religion; however, I am steadfast in my beliefs and am happy to be able to practice in peace what I believe in.

III Goal development:

List at least one goal you have for yourself in each area, Physical, Psychological (mental health) and Spiritual.

Physically I couldn’t be more pleased. I have had four children and I still fit into the same pants as I did previous to having baby number one. I am strong enough to carry both of my small babies at the same time. Physically my only goal is to be able to continue to do this forever; since that is not reality, I will have to accept what will be, will be and be grateful for the time that I can do it.
Psychologically, I feel blessed to have such a wonderful caring family that is always supportive and issues guidance when needed. I am raising four amazing children, with a husband who understands, communicates well and is caring.
Spiritually, I have a goal to attain more worldly views. For instance, I would like to learn from the styles of meditation from the Tibetan Monks, Buddhists, and Hindu point of views.

IV Practices for personal health:

What strategies can you implement to foster growth in each of the following domains; Physical, Psychological, and Spiritual. Provide at least two examples of exercises or practices in each domain. Explain how you will implement each example.

Physically I would like to start climbing mountains and taking my children with me in a kayak. I know that this will foster physical endurance for all of us as a family together.
Psychologically I will keep living everyday with peace, love, and kindness in my heart and mind.
Spiritually I am going to take my children to a temple and enlighten ourselves. I am also going to help them to set up their own ‘nest’ to help them to escape the troubled world that we live in. I hope that they will always live with peace, hope, joy, love, and forever happiness.

V Commitment:

How will you assess your progress or lack of progress in the next six months? What strategies can you use to assist in maintaining your long-term practices for health and wellness?

Anything that is not going backwards is acceptable. By my strategy, if you live everyday to the best of your ability and when you go to sleep at night you don’t have any regrets; then you have health and wellness.

    I can see that you have a strong core about you, something I think we are all look for, staying the path is now the key. Have the strong core to maintain this will show how much all of this, from start to finish has done for you. I know reading your blog's and dicussion has had a good impact on me in a number of way. I myself in no way a 10 but I like to know those who carrie the feel of being there, with the understanding that there is more to know, to grow, and to help those (if they want to be ) get there to. the mind drive all our train although I do beleive the heart is in a close second.
