This video sums it all up!
"One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself” Should say "One cannot lead another where one is not willing to go himself" Who ask for someone else's advise if they already don't feel like that person can more than adequately answer them anyways? Who would pay for the direction of a "quack" for very long? So not only do you have an obligation to your clients but also to be "whole" enough to sustain their loyalty; thus increasing your profitability.
The love and kindness meditations are my personal favorite. I don't really like to use the so called "5 minute vacations" because they take me out of the here and now and leaving me wanting of a different life somewhere on that imagined beach. However, I do see the need for some people to take that mental vacation. I just suggested it to someone as an alternative to fighting with their partner. I suggested that they use this technique to calm down and rationally discuss their feelings.
You know I have the same feeling on this, but I do need to keep my world on point. I hold allot inside and attempt to keep the flow of my life pointed in a direction that will give me peace and happiness‘, and with the hope I can pass something on to others. Its hard to do with that we can not see, or to act when we need to find the one thing to drive us forward. There is something out there, the big one, that something that will fill us to that point of full happiness‘. I hope to keep this going and with the help of all of you I can get through another day.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the video! Being all we can be and letting go starts with inner mental development.
ReplyDeleteWe all seem to be searching for something. It may be happiness, peace or finding love. Those beginning steps are imnportant when we delve into establishing our integral health.
Wow that was a powerful video. It was something I really needed right now. I am going through difficult times and would like everything to change. After watching the video (which I saved to dvd) I will repeat the comments over and over again in my head.
ReplyDeleteI also agree that mental vacations are not for me. However, loving kindness and positive thoughts have become my way of life. This does not mean I do not get angry or hurt because of my curcomstances but after the crying and feling sorry for oneself, I change my behaviors to positive thoughts and loving kindness. I do not know what tomorrow brings but I will try to wake up each day with a sense of adventure instead of sceptacism.
Thanks for sharing your video. It relly made a difference in my day today. Thank You for reminding me what is truely important.
